JENNIFER GOLDSWORTHY

Director and Financial Adviser

B.Bus & Fin.Planning, JP (C.dec)

With over two decades in the financial planning industry and a proud legacy since joining Goldsworthy in 2004, Jennifer is the engine room behind Goldsworthy Private Wealth. Known for her practical wisdom and passion for people, she sees her role as part strategist, part problem-solver, and always an advocate for her clients’ financial wellbeing.

Whether she’s helping a client articulate their goals for the first time or watching them realise a long-awaited retirement dream, Jennifer finds joy in the transformation. From building nest eggs to supporting families through life’s curveballs, she believes that great advice should pass the “sleep at night” test — would she recommend it to her own family?

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her chasing down a ham and cheese croissant after morning exercise, watching her girls at the park, or dreaming about her next challenge — a Hyrox competition!

Jennifer drinks her coffee long and black (with ice in summer and extra shots in winter), she makes zero friends with bland food, and if she could live someone else’s life for a week, it’d involve travel blogging, wine tasting and zero calorie counting.

Advice she’d give her younger self: “Take the time to digest facts and decipher problems. It’s okay to question things and feel self-doubt — there’s a lesson in everything.”

AMY NIGHTINGALE

Financial Adviser

Dip.Financial Services, GradDipFinPlan

With over 15 years in the financial services industry, Amy joined Goldsworthy Private Wealth in 2018, bringing a calm, considered approach to helping clients find financial peace in their future. Getting to witness that exact moment a client shifts from hoping their plan will work to actually believing it will, then celebrating that turning point with them, gives Amy great joy. That, and a well-structured spreadsheet of course.

A believer in the uniqueness of every person’s relationship with money, Amy’s advice is empathetic, tailored, and always delivered with honesty. Inspired by thought leaders like Brené Brown, she values deep connection and courageous conversations. She does NOT value pumpkin.

Outside the office, Amy can be found sleeping in, watching Formula One, or catching up with her sister on the phone. Her life goals include visiting every continent — with countries such as Egypt, Svalbard, and Peru topping the list.

If she could say one thing to her younger self it would be: “You are resilient. Keep going.”

And for the record — she’ll have a café latte, thanks.

JESS LYON

Client Services Manager

Dip.Financial Services, AdvDip.Paraplanning, JP (C.dec)

Joining Goldsworthy in 2018, Jess is a combination of rich industry experience and a laser-sharp compliance eye. With 17 years in the financial services industry and qualifications in both Financial Planning and Paraplanning, Jess thrives on the detail. From implementing new business and preparing advice documents to liaising with clients, product providers and Centrelink and as leader of the client services team, she’ll often put out the fires before most of us realise there’s smoke.

Jess finds real satisfaction in ensuring our clients’ best interests are always front and centre. She loves knowing that every document and application she touches, is helping pave the way toward a better financial future for someone.

In the office, she’s the queen of persistence — “no” simply means finding another path. Outside of work, she dreams of learning Auslan and refuses to make friends with duck (yuck!). Her Sunday bliss includes takeaway coffee and a family walk — a rare moment of peace before Monday rolls back around.

Her advice to her teenage self?
“Overthinking won’t achieve anything. Not everything has to be perfect all the time!”

LAUREN FAKA’ATA

Client Services Manager

Dip.Financial Planning (C.dec)

As our newest recruit, Lauren brings nearly two decades of experience in the financial services industry. In her day-to-day role, Lauren helps manage incoming client enquiries, prepares paperwork and reports, tracks advice implementation and supports the advisers. Her favourite part? Being part of the moment when good advice leads to a big shift in someone’s life — like bringing retirement forward or creating wealth through small, smart changes.

Lauren is passionate about the ripple effect of financial education. She believes that planning ahead and understanding the power of every dollar can be life-changing. It’s a lesson she’s learned personally — and one she’s proud to help others discover.

Her coffee order is a long black with a dash of cold water, and while she’s happy to try most foods, it’s a hard NO to Balut (duck embryo eggs). Her dream day wouldn’t be spent in someone else’s shoes — just one with no rules, endless money, and zero consequences, while working on her personal goal of worrying less, staying present and benching the overthinking tendencies.

Weekend bliss in ‘Lauren Land’ involves a sunny Sunday with a wine at lunch, followed by a guilt-free nana nap.

If she could offer advice to her younger self, it would be:
“Trust the journey — you don’t need to have it all figured out. Take it one step at a time, enjoy the little moments, and know that everything happens for a reason.”

MEGAN CUFFE

Client Services Officer

With nearly two decades in the financial services industry and part of the Goldsworthy team since 2006, Megan brings experience, precision and a no-fuss approach to getting things done. On any given day, you’ll find her deep in Centrelink paperwork, preparing client appointments, managing advice fee documentation — quietly celebrating when clients return their DocuSign forms in record time.

Megan has seen firsthand how small administrative details can make a big difference in a client’s financial journey. Working in the industry has taught her a lot about the power of superannuation, and even more about the importance of budgeting — lessons she applies both professionally and personally.

While her background is originally in design, her attention to detail, sharp organisation skills and practical mindset have found a perfect home in financial services.

When she’s not in the office, Megan’s coffee of choice is a double shot flat white, and you’ll NEVER find any offal in her kitchen. No thank you! Her dream day? Living the yacht life — just for 24 hours. Her Sunday bliss? Wrapping up a renovation job and relaxing with a cold beer.

Personal goals are never far away — she’s working toward deadlifting 100kg and recently managed to tick two goals off her bucketlist – to stand on the Great Wall of China and see the Terracotta Warriors in person.

To her teenage self, Megan would simply say:
“Spend your money on travel, not shoes.”

CARLY JARVIS

Reception & Marketing

Carly joined the Goldsworthy crew in 2018. With a background in interior design, photography and office management, Carly brings a rare blend of creativity and professionalism to her dual role. On the one hand, she manages the marketing – writing newsletters, designing and creating socials content and on the other hand, is one half of the friendly reception team, ensuring every client visit begins with a warm welcome and a positive experience.

Carly finds joy in the little things—like hearing a client reference something she’s written in the Tea & Chats newsletter, or sharing a laugh at reception while clients await their appointment. These genuine interactions are what fuel her love for the job. Her passion about customer service, connection and brand storytelling ensures that every piece of content she creates and every greeting she offers is grounded in authenticity and care.

Working in the financial services space has had a lasting impact on Carly’s own perspective. It’s taught her the importance of starting early when it comes to long-term financial planning. No longer afraid of investing, Carly has embraced the value of taking control of her superannuation and financial future now, rather than waiting for retirement to take it seriously.

When she’s not at work, Carly is soaking up the serenity of her home in the Noosa hinterland. Sunday mornings are slow and sweet—coffee made by her husband, chatter from their two daughters, and birdsong filling the air. She’s a flat white (on oat milk) kind of girl who wouldn’t touch paw paw or coriander, dreams of photographing wildlife in the Amazon, and has the Aurora Australis firmly pinned to her bucket list.

Her advice to her younger self? “Start drinking coffee now—you’re going to need it!”

MICHELE STANTON

Receptionist

Michele has been one of the friendly faces of Goldsworthy since 2012 — but her career in the financial services industry spans over four decades. With a deep well of experience, a calm presence, and a sharp sense of humour, she brings both professionalism and warmth to the front line of our business.

If you’ve ever stepped into our office or called us on the phone, chances are you’ve chatted with Michele. Whether she’s coordinating client bookings, firing up the coffee machine, wrangling the stationary or simply making people feel comfortable in our waiting room, she’s an essential part of our team — and often the first point of contact for our clients. One of her favourite things? Discovering unexpected mutual connections while chatting with clients (Brisbane is really just a big country town!).

After over 40 years in the industry, Michele says she’s learned the power of having a plan — and being patient. Her beverage of choice is a Lady Grey tea (although she’s a fan of a bubbles catch-up with friends, especially by the water on a Sunday). She refuses to befriend eggplant and has no interest in swapping lives with anyone — her journey is hers alone.
Her personal goals include learning Spanish and continuing to enjoy life’s little luxuries.

If she could offer one message to her younger self, it would be simple:
“Don’t be so hard on yourself.”

LEAH RYAN

Executive Assistant

With Goldsworthy since 2016, Leah has been the quiet engine room of the business. With a background in leadership, insurance, accounting, and business operations, she wears more hats than most — supporting both directors while overseeing everything from HR and IT to accounts and day-to-day operations. No two days look the same, and that’s exactly how she likes it.

Her favourite part of the job? The variety, the challenge, and the opportunity to solve problems strategically. Leah thrives on stepping back, viewing the business holistically, and implementing solutions that genuinely make a difference. Whether she’s untangling a tech issue or streamlining a workflow, her calm, detail-focused mindset ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Working in the financial services industry has sharpened her attention to detail and taught her the art of efficient task switching — skills she now applies daily in her dynamic role.
Her go-to coffee order is a skinny cappuccino with a double shot (because multitasking requires fuel), and she has a firm no-thank-you policy on mushrooms. If she could live one day as someone else? Beyoncé — purely for the dance skills.

When she’s not keeping the business humming, Leah enjoys nothing more than spending a wholesome Sunday with her young son, soaking up the small moments. Her personal goal? A future trip to the US — equal parts adventure and inspiration.

To her teenage self, she’d say:
“Enjoy the present. Stay curious. You don’t stand out by being the same as everyone else.”
